Trade
of Maldives Exports and Imports.
In trading, import and export, takes pace only in Addu
and Malé. The southern islands will come to Addu to trade their
products and the northern islands come to Malé to trade their products
to other countries. So far trading has been very well done and the economy
rate for the country is getting increased. In trading, Maldives export
fish mainly by freezing, canned, smoked and dried. In Lhaviyani Atoll
they produce tuna fish cans. In Laamu Atoll they produce shark fins, dry
fish which are sent to Japan and Sri Lanka. In Addu Atoll they produce
clothes and garments and export to America. In Malé fresh water
fish is also exported. These products are exported to other countries
by air and sea- in cargo boats. As in return the other countries will
export their products to Maldives, thus making the shop owners to arouse.

The double reef protection around the atolls is what kept the people of
this country safe from the sea for centuries.
Even though the Maldives actually straddles the equator and lies outside
the treacherous cyclone belt in the vicinity of the Bay of Bengal, you
might expect the country to suffer from scorching equatorial heat. This
is where nature blesses us with the best the sea has to offer. All that
water acts as a buffer, storing and giving up heat at a much slower rate
than solid ground. Temperatures fluctuate between a minimum 23 Degree
Celsius and a maximum 32 Degree Celsius through out the year. The thermometer
normally hovers round the 30 degree mark. There is always a cooling breeze
blowing in from the sea. This makes even a hot day so pleasant on the
beach that even those of us who are so used to it never cease to e moved
by its sheer magic.
